road hog la..
i think today was very successful for the fact that we managed
to raise 20k from donations, car wash , food , table tennis ,
and auction.. Even though i think all of us were very tired,
we still continued for the Myanmar sailors..
it was quite fun too working with the different classes of sailors.
The sailors got hit quite badly and the delta that min min stays
at is completely wiped out, like everything is flat..
the 470 guy helming at sea games doesnt even have clean water.
His crew is protected by only a plastic sheet over his head.
the list goes on but luckily there was no fatality.
i learnt something today, ok. this is sensitive and of course
im generalizing. There were some LEXUS and other posh cars
that just zoomed pass today, maybe they were thinking we were
conmans. this world that we live in, is crazy.
OKay guys, if u wanna make a donation to Myanmar, not myanmar sailors
but to MYANMAR because u obviously have got a heart of GOLD
which the drivers that just zoomed past didnt have (generalizing).
please make sure the donations like go to a trust worthy cause/organization.
Because the fact is, most of the donations in terms of monetary and Food wise
dont get delivered to the people, it goes to officials and shit for their OWN.
i mean by the MYANMAR side cause they are really corrupted and stuff
and ive been there before ok? so im not talking rubbish.
The 20k that we collected today will go directly to the MYANMAR SAILING team
with no middle man involved. so yep, thats rad.
i think we should really thank the olympic sailors for initiating this appeal
and they only had a week to plan things out and it was really good.
Terence did smooth job with the video and Ben with the coupons,
he did like everything by himself in a day which is so amazing
cos there was so much to do. There might be plans to help them
build their sailing club in sept.
next stop; Myanmar.
