I'm exhausted, literally, but small things keep me going. I have in hand a piece of paper and will pen down every single thought. Will put it together and figure out the next direction/angle. I'm 20 and confused but that's part of growing and piece by piece, I know i will be able to engineer something.

Here's me, taking my knowledge and skills in breaking things into pieces out at sea and bringing it into other aspects.

So excited to finish some work tomorrow and complete my Uni applications.

i don't listen to sad songs because i get affected. i like watching movies alone because i feel for it. i take morning rides because it gives me a sense of peace and that i am in control. i drink because i like to stay in a trance, i run up the hill because it gives me lactic and makes me dizzy and thats also another trance. i dont like to sit here waiting because i know i have 10 years left. i fucking love how i started this morning. Got a an emergency phone call about the aviation industry and i had to do it, i had 30 mins to research on an industry i'm clueless about but i did it. I got the job done. I like being placed in pressure situations, i like to make decisions on the ball. I like positive people because i can feed on their energy. I don't like people complaining even though i do that quite often on my part. I like it how i'm setting my goals for the next ten years based on how i see things developing right now. I would love to one day sleep at 10pm, wake up at 6am and take a morning ride to the beach then kayak out to sea with fking chilled watermelon juice in my favourite water bottle. One day, i might make it (big) or i might not, but i will always remember that this is the year when i was most confused. When shit really didn't happen in my way and i spent the first 11 months of the year clueless and making stupid decisions and getting myself into messed up situations. On the contrary this has been the most successful year for me, i won every single competition that i sailed in and i managed to get myself a uni spot. I was in dumpers and you literally.... NO.... FKING LITERALLY blew me off my feet. No one does that. Nobody. & i don't come up with a strategic plan just for things like that, i dont, ever. But i did and it went well. Then there's you both, my fav ladies in my life. I come home all foolish and not one bit like your son/grandson, it's always the first sentence that sets me right up for everything back home. I love you both and i know money does not equate to happiness but when we board that plane in march, sweet times, sweet times baby awaits us. I will not be spending much time at home till i enlist for army but i know we will still have that goal in mind when we are faced with doubt. 9 more years momsa and grams.

As long as this goes on, i will continue to find my escape. Day by day, i will get it right. Sit tight buddy, it's gonna be one helluva ride.

here's how it works.

gym,internship,meetings,project,family life,social life,training,eating double meals for weight gain,media shizz, waking up at 4am to get some calories in the body. i have 24 hours a day. & i do agree that 24 hours in a day is enough. but that means i end like sleeping 3-4hours.

i dont mind. i can take it.

moral of the story: if i am not considered a priority in your list, dont expect yourself to be in mine. bcos the realization that i wont be there anymore will hit you. and its forever.

managed to find a sweet spot on sunday. all it took was for the 6 six of us and one rash decision ha ha. its quite amazing the amount of damage you can do to your body within 24hours.

i need another trip in aug when i'm back from isarel before i have to commence on the internship and well.. attempt to finish 3 assignments and 2 big ass projects. not to mention my other commitments.

digressing, i just watched a clip of a top 20 470 pair sailing upwind. like seriously... the crew is doing shitzz with himself only half trapeze in 25knots and his back bent -not extending all th way. is this how u finish top 20 in a world event? Some of us work to get where we are, some of us have it all too easy. right, reminds me of the ying-yang/balance theory.

boils down to the question; are we all only as good as what we are born to be? do you know that Vo2Max is actually very dependent on genetics and even training yourself to gain a higher fitness level is only that significant? That actually means in sports that are all if not highly focused on Cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF), you can have a champion created from the genes of that parent. Or.... you're just a loser working arses and obviously not at a very good receiving end. Are we only as good or have that ''certain'' potential because of physique?

ok its been 19days since i got back frm that horrible china weather. nothing much has been going cept for the fact i strained my back and so im gnna get it checked tmr. exams are up in 12 days time, its almost the last stretch for me now.

1.I have decided to get a DSLR and im waiting for the correct time to get it/learning more about it as well at the mo. Spells it all well for my travel plans the next few months in europe. Of course hoping the volcano in bloody iceland stops erupting

2.As soon as my exams r done i will take a 1-2 day break at some secluded place. Reason being- Next sem(may) i have 5 night classes, 3 mornings, i have to do my internship at California Fitness, go for training (sailing), do 3-5 times of gym a week, sort my dreamplus meetings, hang out with the folks and chill with my sweetheart. I will barely have time for everything, but i will find a way to complete what i have to do ( THANKS RED BULL for the products!)

3. I will save up so that i can pay for uni be it local or overseas ( if i get 0.1 gpa more)

4. My diploma has a direct transfer to NCAP (national coaching accreditation something....) so yes, thats sickk!

5. within the next months my body will go through changes as i make my final attempt to gain 6-7kgs for sailing. That just means my shoulders will get broader. I will be snacking heaps and drinking alot of those milkshakes. OOh yes.. not forgetting beer as well.

Last night we headed to Gastrobar for Claire's 18th, had trouble finding it but it was a really nice place, got to meet Ivan and Jane as well heaps cool. here's a pic of qing & I waking up from e zouk xperience last night. had a relatively easy 15hour day. Started off meeting with Gosh! in the morning apart from the 1hour jam, everything went smoothly. Presentation was really refreshing as it was done in a different manner. Collected the 2XU gear and they gave us limited edition bottoms so that's cool. Time check; 11pm.

Just gotta send some emails out and toy with the forex stuff before i can crash. Its not gnna be an easy weekend gotta try fit in some time for my test on monday plus a long night out with the family tmr. Thank you Red Bull !

okay its 8/1/2010 today, time flies so quickly. I had a fairly good 2009 and sure am looking forward to 2010. 2009 ended with only 1 title from Aust nats, 3rd at kiel week and 4th at youth worlds. I guess sailing wise, this is the year to make up for it and there wasnt a better way to start it off and send a message. Gonna start with ASC in China in march which i will miss grams, qing's birthday. Germany in june, Israel in july and asian games in china in november. obviously barring selections which i have to qualify myself for.

Its actually gonna be a very challenging year ahead if i qualify for all the trips, i have to miss 1/3 of school because my holidays are all screwed up due to sports school hosting the yog events. my june holidays are pushing back to july-sept. okay, i shall study smarter and at least maintain my gpa or hopefully increase it by 0.2.

Hopefully i will get my car license soon sometime this year+ powerboat license. i'm also gonna save up my spextag this year so that in december i will be able to fund for my own trip to melbourne and sydney for some summer sailing in skiffs and surfing. hopefully all goes well and i will earn my qualifications for the sailing trips, at least maintain my grades and have a fking awesome summer with my gf in aus.

if i can achieve all that for 2010, i'll have no complains and enlist myself into army with peace. but to begin my year ahead here's to you M- I N D -E F .. F K U. and thats for not letting my partner(sailing) enlist earlier.

when i am out at sea, i think yeh, this is it. me hanging out of the boat, the wind is 20-25knots and waves. shark infested waters. i get this adrenaline that i cant find anywhere else. i was afraid when i had to jump into the water today to help my teammates, but this feeling i get lets me know that i am alive. Now u know why my dream is to own a 49er and take that boat to the maximum. i thrive when things get hardest. anw guys, merry christmas. its 3am here in aust, tired but feelin good. feeling like tomorrow could be a better day. well it should be, today was a pretty darn hard day to get through esp as it got through. FML

it has been a crazy week, been going through lots of 17 hour days. i spent some of my time last week at the extreme40s asia series with the Red Bull team. Thanks once again to Red Bull Singapore for the once in the life time opportunity to go onboard the Red Bull boat and mingle around with the crew. Red Bull has a crew of 4 sailing the boat and they all have got tremendous achievements in sailing, they've got Austrians Roman Hargara and Hans Peter whom won the gold medal at the sydney and athens olympics in the tornado class. Andrew Macpherson from Australia whom won countless titles in f18s and the Sydney to hobart race, lastly the bowman- david from Spain whom also did the Volvo Ocean Race this year and was on team telefonica blue. It was just such a great experience for me especially going through 2 training sessions with them on board and as a 5th man crew during the competition itself.

Mylene and Jf came back from Sea Games last night with lots of medals and they owe qing and i a treat. Actually thinking back now, it has been 2 years since i did a major games for singapore, missing the feeling quite a bit now. hopefully the army get their shitz sorted out soon.

O yeh, at the extreme40s event last week, i met Mark Teo. He is a freelance photographer and that dude's work is sickk!. he's all for extreme and style. i just visited his website and i can safely say that i have not seen photos so beautiful before, least in singapore. He took his 2 DSLR's out to sea, it started pouring heavily and he just wrapped a plastic bag over the cameras and started shooting. All in all, we had at least 15k of camera stuff on the boat, he even refused to put his camera into the waterproof bag we had because he wanted some shots of the Red Bull team sailing in the rain. i hope he got the shots he wanted and the spoiled camera is repaired now, gnna post some pics of what i found on his website. Anw the gf's in Shanghai now, and i finished my last trng session 2 days ago. been just bumming around the house plus gym. i think qing and i got to a stage where we are able to live without each other so thats a good thing, we're becoming more independent as we progress. Qing if u read this wear more clothes, its a fridge there now!.

i survived a 19hour day ytd. 2 sessions of sailing (10-5), gym (530-630), 2 hours of cycling before and after dinner (740-9,1030-1115) and 3.5 hours of work( 1130-3am). just gonna keep going, leave everyone in my wake. yewww

life has been very different since starting sailing once more last week after a 4 month break, it wasnt as bad as what i thought. training's been good, intense. & i guess that's the joy about sailing, you just dont lose touch no matter how long you're kept away from sailing. We did 3 good sessions last week and we got a short one tomorrow before having a 4 day break which i will be spending much of my time in the gym doing aerobic, and weight training.

Cheryl flew off yesterday for sydney, i just looked up the forecast and its gonna blow 30knots with a cold front coming in tmro, i dont know how she is gonna survive with no wetsuit. hopefully suzzie makes one in time for her. Qing, ghandi and i were rushing between t3-t1 ytd, we had to see her besti and JF off for sea games. good luck to the both of them !. anyway speaking of which, i do miss 07' sea games. it was unbelievably intense sailing wise but the team dynamics and stuff was great. esp the soccer game we had and those lan games in the rooms plus buying air guns. i look forward to another challenge in the coming months spending time on the boat, bike and gym.

i will be away this christmas again (this will be my 4th christmas away from singapore). hopefully i wont be training on christmas day. i cant wait to get on my plan for the next 18 days and see how much work i can finish before i fly out.

anw i just experienced my 2nd asthma attack this year. both in a day, went to the doc for the breathing thingy, but i still dont quite feel very well. something isnt right. i hate falling sick, just when i finished a week of tough training plus gym conditioning. i have to start all over again.

Anw some pics up, what i've been doing fitness wise. plus the swissotel vertical marathon last sunday. its gonna be a damn tough month ahead. got some good plans for the next 12 months. plus some forex arbitrage i'll be starting on.

today i tried. i will try harder than before. fuck em critics. thanks mum and dad for bringing me up, thank you qing for being part of this journey. it'll be good if i had the support from you guys but if i cant get it, your blessings will also do just fine.

today is the start of the next chapter in my book. its the start of independence, its the first for me. to be able to hold the decisions i have to make for the rest of my life. to be accountable and responsible for that. to give qing a good life. dad and mum, to give you both comfort, to give you both assurance that all you did to bring me up for the past 18years didnt go down the drain.

today i hold my own fate. and i will decide my destiny. my friends can judge me but i know i wasnt born to do mainstream. i'm not one that will study my ass off to get a degree, come out of army and sit in a 9-5 job earning a salary for the rest of my life.

there's just something about growing up, you'll realise that it isnt anywhere like what you imagine the world to be when you were alot younger. when i look into a kid's eye, i envy them. but its saddening as well because i think they too, will realise what a world this is what they grow up. who am i to say? obviously its purely my assumption. but i know one day i will snap, even the best breakfast in the world wont save me nor the feeling of being able to hold the power of trading 600milion a year (just met someone today) as well. id dig deeper, and maybe only to realise that my cuppa is just lying on the beach listening to cafe del mar and smoking pot all day long.

woke up at 430am this morning, joined AQ, aaron and joel for a bike ride till 930am. we managed to cover 70km from woodlands- east coast park and back to woodlands. i've just found a faster way to qing's house, cycling is so much faster than the bus ride. took us only 1hour 15mins to get there. left school at 11am to qing's place to look after her cause she's down with food poisoning still. hope that crap gets outta her soon.

its gonna be a darn tough 2 weeks now leading into the exams. ive got psychology essay still yet to be completed plus revision stuff. cool yew. anw i'm saving up for something big with my mum. hopefully we'll get it by next january!.

its been a while since i blogged. life has been getting real busy but its still quite a challenge to manage all my time around nicely,
the past 3 weeks were great!. the sailors came over to surprise me the day before my 18th bd and it i really got a shock when i got home that night thinking that grandma injured her leg only to realise that the 8-10 of them were in my room. thanks to everyone and esp denise for planning that.

then we went on to timbre 2 saturdays ago, it was nice having everyone there and all 27 of them made it on that night! that also happened to be the first time i signed a bill. but the jaggerbombs were ridiculously expensive like 8 shots/glasses for 270bucks, overall the food there was good, we ordered something like 15 pizzas i think. headed down to sahara after everyone couldnt decide on where to go which was epic fail cos the guys were so engross in their soccer at sahara! sorry jane&claire but i guess boys will be boys haha. went into zirca rebel and luna after that, by that time i was prolly damn red im guessing, rebel was good plus the music. It was really funny watching ghandi tho, he got owned by some fella when they challenged their lightstick dancing. got out of there at 4ish, we had macs till 5 and qing and i got into a cab and went back to hilton. legs were so tired and i woke up sore having to walk to ion for breakfast.

last weekend we had the class dinner at seoul garden which was quite fail once more since everyone's not in town but it was nice seeing those faces and i really miss 4A/5A, though we didnt really study much cos of through train and stuff but the class dynamics were soo good. im in charge of organising this year's class chalet but its damn hellva job im saying;. cos you have people like mylene ong going berlin-sweden-russia in november and shuttlers going world youth and everyone else is sooo darn busy.

last night i had the pleasure of having dinner with Qing! & chloe, omg chloe is in a league of her own i tell you. she's damn funny and hyper! Ok and now i have to finish up my lunch and read the psychology notes before starting on the essay. bowling and badminton later?.

Oh yes! i've just signed up for the national mountain bike championship in 2 weeks time and Swissotel vertical marathon! im heaps excited about this 2 competitions. ( anyone knows the terrain at bukit timah nature reserve?) cos im not going there to test the conditions till the competition itself- something quite dangerous.

& also, wish me luck im sending my application to oakley for a sponsorship soon, tho im thinking the chances of as slim.
and im also gonna feature in thomson medical hospital's calender for next year cos im their BABY for the month of sept!.

i stay in boarding, i burn my time in the gym. i cycle to places no one knows and i find thrill in doing things the extraordinary way. i hate mainstream, esp mainstream music, top 10 charts are so outta the world for me. i listen to trance, i drink 100 plus for breakfast. i think the world is slowly coming to an end and so we'd better cherish and soak in whatever we have now. i love traveling, i secretly want to be a tour guide and work in best denki because i think im a better salesman than those there. i wanna learn all the sports, i want to be good in everything when it comes to being sporty. even when im playing badminton against the best , i always want to win that point. i dont give up easily, i'm naturally competitive and aggressive (something ive learn to tone down on). i think i got leadership qualities but i'm not the most motivated leader.

i love my family, i try to plan my time well and spend time with them whether its catching a movie or bowling at 2am on saturday nights. i know they are super supportive in whatever i do as long as i stay on the correct path. and i know i wont send them to the old folks home (read an article on today that said more kids sending their parents to the folks home) because they've given me more than what i deserve and have always put in their priorities.

i think living in sydney is good, everyone is all outdoors and working out at the beach, i love that kind of lifestyle. nothing better than to run on sand on a 16degree morning and taking a dip into the waters of bondi.done that, miss that. i also like how Scandinavians prepare their breakfast, the houses in sweden. the flat land in holland for cycling. the canadian mountain bike trails. ice-sailing in norwegian lakes. i think i have alot of plans for the future but now i got to keep working my ass to bring in enough income for that. i like to think im capable of doing that. i like to think that at the end of the day, almost everyone would have a degree but its how u put all that you've experienced into play at the interview.

I think im going korea as well this year but I don’t know yet.

i'm not your average joe. ive spent 4 europe summers in germany and 2 oceania summers in australia. europe is my playground, sports school is my escape. i come and go so easily its not very often that i have a time off. so to be my gf, its not that all easy. it gets frustrating when im 8000 miles away and phone bill costs are such bitches. so i can thank everyone up there for letting me find someone like her. someone that not only understands but motivates me even more. the road is long but i know one day will go house hunting abroad and thats gonna be when we suddenly think to ourselves, its well all worth it. & i love u Qing

life's been different since coming back from youth worlds. havent been spending time sailing and that has been giving my other parts of life much more time. school has been great, enjoying what i'm learning this semester. psychology,nutrition,management and anatomy, so relevant to what i do in sailing so its pretty sick!. imagine enjoying studying because it gives u xtra boost and an edge of knowledge in sports science over others. sailing part has been non-existent i guess apart from me stepping into byte 2 weekends ago. it was so sick yeww, my thighs were burning from hiking out. i forgot to put down the rudder when i launched the first day because i assumed i had stine to do it. fuck i've been crewing for almost 4 years now. thats bloody long!. regatta wasnt too bad i think, tried to recall single handed techniques and shitz, and downwind was good cept for the light wind when i raced a 23rd! fo sho yo!

Qing and i celebrated our 1st over sailing out at sea, was quite shock she was yearning so much to hike out after i taught her how to. (note, i dont have the best hiking techniques) that was actually an unbelievable aftn for me.firstly i was pretty scared i couldnt handle 10knots in a laser with a girl whom had no out-at-sea experience and secondly qing scared me when she asked to take over the rudder and started hiking out. its a nice feeling to know that she likes sailing as well and she'll at least know i'm doing something fun!.

we went to mandarin that weekend for a crash high tea as well, we were hotel hopping because i obviously forgot to make bookings. went to st.regis,hilton,swissotel and shitz but finally we settled for chatterbox! atm i cant rmb all that ive done since coming back, too many things to mention argh. oh ya i finally moved into hostel 2 weeks ago with the help of mum & qing, so that has been good cos i'm on the up side of fitness,general fitness so at least when i jump into a boat (not sure which on) i wont die.

I spent last sunday cycling 62km from tampines- ECP- Mt faber with aaron, we cycled up and went down at 50km/h. i got home really sore but i like this feeling of a good workout, nothing better than that. went to cafe del mar last monday with qing and her besti, we swam to the island and obviously i lost, fuck i cant swim for nutz. they had to help me hold the camera cos i was sinking haha.

on the other fitness side of things, i just got an email abt fitness testing in sept. anyway i've been cross training so much, playing rugby,lifting weights and circuits plus badminton. yeh the latter making my forearm so sore i cant lift a cup. i think im gonna be ready just in time for when i need to vollebak'. haha and anw god knows what stine is doing, probably studying 24/7 since that guy is hardcore, i think he'll just get 4 A's. he's one of the sickest dudes i know.

am going to bali in 2 months time to surf and snorkel, its gonna be sweet plus 3 assignments to hand up in the next 3 weeks and qing has exams as well so this means we are back to studying and its gnna be productive. cant wait for 18th sept to come. and i know (Qing+Jane+Claire) cant wait as well. thanks dear, its gonna work out just right. you're my champion event planner!
